Today, Apple has released iOS 17.1, iPadOS 17.1, and watchOS 10.1 across all the supported devices available via manual search on their devices. It brings the feature to transfer large files via AirDrop over the internet in case the recipient is not in the AirDrop range, yes, that’s what the IOS 17.1 is about.
Talking about iOS 17.1, There are several bug fixes and improvements available with the Ios 17.1 in place. For instance, iPadOS 17.1 now supports USB-C Apple Pencil which was announced last week.
Moving on, we have features curated for Apple Watch users. With watchOS 10.1, Apple has introduced the Double Tap gesture across both the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9. This gesture can be used for a multitude of things such as answering calls, stopping timers, playing or pausing music, and supports various other functions on supported apps.
A feature dubbed NameDrop now lets you exchange contacts with other Apple Watch users simply by bringing their watch near the paired iPhone running iOS 17 (and above). The feature is available across Apple Watch Series 7 and later. Apple has also fixed a bug that would cause the climate section on the home app of Apple Watch to be blank. Another bug that would show up the scroll bar on the display has been fixed along with the update as well.
